Role Description The Medical Doctor will provide comprehensive sexual health and STI-related care, including patient consultations, clinical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning in accordance with evidence-based guidelines. Responsibilities include prescribing appropriate medications and therapies, interpreting laboratory results, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and confidentiality standards. The doctor will collaborate with counselors and support staff to deliver holistic, stigma-free care, provide patient education on prevention and safe practices, and participate in quality improvement activities. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, with direct patient interaction and coordination with diagnostic centers as part of daily work.
Qualifications
- Clinical expertise in sexual health and STIs, including diagnosis, treatment, and counseling.
- Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide sensitive, non-judgmental care.
- Ability to interpret lab reports and coordinate with diagnostic services for timely and accurate testing.
- Commitment to maintaining strict patient confidentiality, ethical medical practice, and adherence to relevant clinical guidelines.
- Proficiency in maintaining clear, detailed medical documentation and using electronic medical record systems.
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution; valid medical license/registration to practice in India is required.
- Experience or training in sexual medicine, dermatology, or related specialties is an advantage.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment and collaborating in a multidisciplinary team.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in local languages spoken in Bengaluru is beneficial.
