Job Summary
The HOD – Urology Sales will be responsible for leading and expanding the urology business segment by developing strategic sales plans, managing key accounts, handling distributor and hospital relationships, and leading the sales team to achieve business targets. The role requires strong knowledge of urology medical devices, market trends, and clinical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the complete urology sales division.
- Develop annual sales targets, strategies, and business expansion plans.
- Build strong relationships with hospitals, surgeons, distributors, and channel partners.
- Promote urology products including endoscopy systems, lithotripsy products, lasers, consumables, and related devices.
- Conduct product demonstrations, clinical support, and customer presentations.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
- Recruit, train, and guide the sales team for improved performance.
- Coordinate with marketing, service, and operations departments for smooth execution.
- Participate in conferences, workshops, CME programs, and exhibitions.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and business performance analysis.
- Ensure achievement of monthly and yearly revenue goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA in Sales & Marketing will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in medical device sales, preferably in urology products.
- Strong network with urologists, hospitals, and healthcare institutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to travel extensively for business development activities.
