Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Coder - Surgery, located in Noida. The Medical Coder will be responsible for reviewing medical documentation and accurately assigning surgical codes following standard coding systems. Day-to-day tasks include ensuring compliance with coding guidelines, conducting quality checks, identifying and rectifying coding discrepancies, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of medical coding regulations and best practices. The role may also involve collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide accurate coding support.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in surgical coding, CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in coding and documentation
- Capability to comply with industry standards, such as HIPAA and organizational coding policies
- Experience using health information management systems or coding software
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with healthcare teams
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) accreditation is required
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in medical coding preferred
- Ability to work in an on-site setting and adhere to workplace schedules
