Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Karnataka, India, for a Medical Billing Specialist. The Medical Billing Specialist will be responsible for managing medical billing and claims processing, reviewing and resolving insurance denials, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This role includes maintaining accurate patient records, processing invoices, verifying medical codes (e.g., ICD-10), and corresponding with insurance providers such as Medicare. The Medical Billing Specialist will collaborate closely with healthcare providers to ensure timely claims submission and reimbursement.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology and familiarity with medical billing and coding systems
- Proficiency with ICD-10 coding standards
- Experience in processing insurance claims, specifically with Medicare and other insurance providers
- Ability to analyze and resolve claim denials and manage account discrepancies
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in using medical billing software and spreadsheets
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Associate’s degree or certification in medical billing, coding, or a related field is preferred
- Prior experience in medical billing within a healthcare setting is highly beneficial
