Role Description The Medical Biller role is a full-time, on-site position based in Nashik. The Medical Biller will be responsible for preparing, submitting, and tracking medical claims to insurance carriers, Medicare, and other payers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with billing guidelines. Daily tasks include reviewing patient information and clinical documentation, assigning appropriate ICD-10 codes, handling claim denials and rejections, and following up on outstanding accounts to secure timely payments. The role involves communicating with insurance companies and internal teams to resolve billing issues, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of payer policies, and contributing to process improvements that reduce errors and improve reimbursement outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and ability to interpret clinical documentation accurately.
- Hands-on experience with ICD-10 coding and application of codes for billing and reimbursement.
- Knowledge of insurance processes, including commercial payers and Medicare billing requirements.
- Experience working with claim denials, including analysis, correction, resubmission, and follow-up.
- Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to work with billing software or practice management systems.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with payers and internal teams.
- Ability to work in an on-site team environment in Nashik, managing deadlines and high-volume workloads.
- Prior experience in medical billing, RCM, or healthcare administration; relevant certification or diploma in medical billing or coding is an advantage.
