Role OverviewWe are seeking a proactive and creative Media & Reporting Specialist to gather, produce, and share local news stories across digital platforms, with a strong emphasis on YouTube content. This role involves conducting interviews, reporting on community events, and transforming local stories into engaging video and social media content that informs and connects audiences.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct interviews with local individuals, organizations, and community leaders to gather newsworthy content
- Research, identify, and report on relevant local events, stories, and trends
- Create, edit, and publish video content for YouTube, including scripting, filming, and post-production
- Manage and update social media channels with timely news, clips, and highlights
- Develop compelling storytelling formats that engage and grow the audience
- Collaborate with internal teams or partners to align content with overall messaging and goals
- Maintain consistency in brand voice, tone, and visual identity across all platforms
Qualifications- Strong communication and interviewing skills
- Experience in journalism, media reporting, or content creation
- Proficiency in video production tools (filming, editing, and publishing)
- Familiarity with YouTube content strategies and social media platforms
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment
- Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and community engagement
Preferred Skills- Background in Communications, Journalism, Media, or a related field
- Experience covering local news or community-based content
- Knowledge of SEO, YouTube optimization, and audience growth strategies
- Basic graphic design or thumbnail creation skills

Salary: 20,000 Rupees per month + incentives
