Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Design Engineer role based in Vasai. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies for 3D printers and related systems, from concept through detailed design and validation. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating CAD models and drawings, performing basic design calculations, collaborating with R&D, production, and software teams, and supporting prototyping and testing activities. The role involves optimizing designs for manufacturability, reliability, and cost, preparing documentation and BOMs, and contributing to continuous improvement of products and processes. The engineer will also work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to address design issues, implement feedback, and ensure timely project execution.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with practical experience in Design Engineering and Machine Design.
- Proficiency in Product Design, including concept development, detailed design, and design for manufacturability.
- Hands-on expertise in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, CATIA or similar).
- Ability to apply engineering fundamentals such as materials selection, tolerance analysis, and basic structural/thermal considerations.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Experience in precision mechanical systems, 3D printing equipment, or capital machinery is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and quality.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams on-site.
Salary : 25,000 - 35,000 pm
