Summary
UST is looking for detail-oriented
Mechatronic Lab Engineer to support daily laboratory operations, perform routine testing, maintain equipment, and ensure accurate, reliable data. The ideal candidate is organized, quality-focused, and able to follow established procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Requires hands-on knowledge and experience in own discipline.
Performs technical functions such as assembly, modification, reliability testing and troubleshooting of moderately complex mechanical, pneumatic, electro-mechanical and vacuum systems, experimental design circuitry, specialized test equipment, tools and test fixtures under general supervision.
Tests and troubleshoots system and component level problems in mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical, vacuum systems and sub-systems.
Conversant with schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or plans to perform testing and troubleshooting.
Performs necessary re-work and assists in determining remedies for malfunctions and generates Quality notifications.
Performs routine maintenance and shut-down procedures of test equipment.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, safety, facility, and external vendor teams to develop and maintain lab equipment, test rigs and instrumentation.
Observes all safety standards. Maintains a secure, safe, clean, and healthy work environment. Attends required health and safety training and follows safety & security policies, procedures, and practices. Promptly report accidents, injuries, safety hazards or emergencies to supervisor or Safety dept.
Follows operating instructions, use protective equipment when required and use equipment and materials as per SOP. Actively strives to prevent accidents and injuries.
Compiles test data and records test observations as per the format. Assists in technical documentation of test procedures.
Co-ordinates the procurement and assembly of mechanical components/equipment
Effective and timely communication with supervisor and all stakeholders
Qualifications
BE / BTech Candidate with 5+ years of experience
