Role Description The Mechanical Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Howrah. This role involves performing routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment, inspecting machinery for wear or faults, and executing repairs to keep systems running safely and efficiently. The Mechanical Technician will troubleshoot mechanical issues, coordinate with supervisors and other technicians to plan maintenance schedules, and document all maintenance and repair activities. Daily tasks also include adhering to safety protocols, ensuring proper use of tools and equipment, and supporting continuous improvement of maintenance procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong equipment maintenance skills, including routine checks and servicing.
- Having knowledge about pneumatic lines, air cylinders and valves.
- Experience with preventive maintenance and planning maintenance schedules.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and diagnose faults accurately.
- Hands-on proficiency in maintenance, repair, and general mechanical upkeep.
- Relevant technical diploma or certification in mechanical engineering or industrial maintenance.
- Knowledge of safety standards and proper use of tools and diagnostic instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and equipment specifications.
