Role Description The Mechanical Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram. This role oversees daily mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring equipment and systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. The Mechanical Supervisor plans, assigns, and monitors work for maintenance teams, coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance, and verifies that all work complies with technical standards and safety regulations. Day-to-day tasks include supervising inspections, diagnosing mechanical issues, scheduling repairs, maintaining records, and optimizing maintenance processes to reduce downtime. The role also involves collaborating with other departments, managing external vendors when required, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the facility.
Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, workload planning, and performance monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with maintenance and preventive maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems.
- Proficiency in maintenance management practices, including scheduling, documentation, and coordination of resources.
- Ability to conduct thorough inspections, diagnose mechanical faults, and implement corrective actions.
- Relevant technical qualification such as a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of safety standards, compliance requirements, and best practices in industrial or facility maintenance.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience using maintenance management software and basic computer applications is an advantage.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, work under time constraints, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
