Role Description The Mechanical Modeler will produce accurate mechanical BIM models, drawings, and documentation for building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, in coordination with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include translating design intent into detailed 3D models, performing clash detection, and collaborating with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP professionals to resolve coordination issues. The Mechanical Modeler will update models based on design changes and site inputs, ensure adherence to BIM standards and project-specific execution plans, and contribute to 4D/5D simulations when required. Daily tasks also involve quality checks, maintaining data integrity within the Common Data Environment, and supporting project stakeholders with model-based insights. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in mechanical modeling tools and platforms (e.g., Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks, AutoCAD, or similar BIM software).
- Experience creating coordinated mechanical BIM models for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, including detailed drawings and schedules.
- Ability to perform clash detection, model audits, and quality checks, and to apply BIM standards and BIM Execution Plans on projects.
- Knowledge of construction workflows, building services design fundamentals, and relevant codes and standards for mechanical systems.
- Experience working within Common Data Environment platforms and familiarity with AI-driven or advanced BIM workflows is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and spatial visualization skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and project stakeholders.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; prior experience in AEC/BIM projects is preferred.
