Role Description The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Porbandar, with some flexibility for work from home. The role involves overseeing mechanical maintenance activities for boiler and related equipment, including routine inspections, diagnosing issues, and coordinating repairs to minimize downtime. The engineer will plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules, maintain records of maintenance activities, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with fabrication and operations teams, managing maintenance-related documentation, supporting root cause analysis of equipment failures, and recommending improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency. The role may also involve supervising maintenance technicians, coordinating with external vendors, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Mechanical Maintenance for industrial and boiler-related systems.
- Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance Engineering, including planning, execution, and optimization of maintenance activities.
- Candidates should possess skills in Preventive Maintenance, including scheduling, inspection, and documentation of maintenance tasks.
- Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance & Repair, including fault diagnosis, corrective actions, and safe repair practices.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in boiler, heavy fabrication, or industrial plant maintenance is beneficial.
- Working knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and maintenance best practices.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and equipment manuals, with good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Comfort with hybrid work arrangements and coordination between on-site and remote tasks.
