Job title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Offshore
Work Location: Mumbai – Offshore
Responsibilities:
- Mechanical Maintenance – Offshore MOPU (Production & Marine) – Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance of production and marine mechanical equipment, including compressors, pumps, separators, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, cranes, diesel engines, ballast systems, HVAC, firefighting systems and utility equipment to maximize plant availability.
- Inspect, troubleshoot and repair rotating and static equipment, carrying out condition monitoring, vibration analysis, alignment, lubrication, seal replacement, overhauls and root cause analysis (RCA) to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Ensure mechanical integrity and statutory compliance of offshore facilities by managing pressure testing, lifting equipment inspections, piping systems, valves, marine structures, corrosion monitoring and maintenance activities in accordance with API, ASME, ABS, OEM and company standards.
- Support safe offshore operations by implementing Permit to Work (PTW), LOTO, risk assessments, Management of Change (MOC), shutdown planning, spare parts management and coordinating maintenance activities with Production, Marine, Electrical and Instrumentation teams.
- Maintain maintenance records and optimize asset performance through CMMS updates, equipment history, preventive maintenance planning, inventory control, contractor supervision, commissioning support and participation in emergency response and offshore integrity audits.
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10 years of experience in offshore oil and gas, drilling, FPSO, offshore platforms
- Offshore certifications such as BOSIET/FOET, HUET, and valid offshore medical certification (preferred or required depending on location).
