Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Mechanical Fitter, based in various locations at Indian Coast. Mumbai, Kolkata, Portblair. In this role, you will perform overhauling of various mechanical components like Propulsion system of a ship, various type of pumps, Valves of various kind, Coolers, Heat exchangers, Main engine and Aux engine overhaulings, machining, assembly, installation, and maintenance tasks on maritime machinery and equipment. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance of maritime assets. Collaboration with technical teams and adherence to safety protocols will be integral aspects of your day-to-day responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in mechanical eeuipments operations, overhaulings, trouble shooting and should be proficient in operating tools and machinery for manufacturing and repair purposes
- Experience with Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance practices for machinery upkeep and consistency
- Strong skills in Fitting and assembly of mechanical components
- Understanding of Machinery operation, troubleshooting, and performance evaluation
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Relevant technical diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Experience in the maritime or industrial machinery sector is a plus
