Job Summary
The Mechanic will be responsible for the assembly, machines and. The role involves supporting the production activities in ensuring smooth mechanical operations, adherence to quality standards, and timely completion of machine building
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and fit mechanical components as per engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical faults in machines and sub-assemblies.
- Use appropriate hand tools, measuring instruments, and machine shop equipment safely and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Assist in testing machines for mechanical accuracy and performance before dispatch.
- Maintain records of assembly, maintenance activities, and test results.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Good knowledge of mechanical assembly, fitting, and alignment practices.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and mechanical layouts.
- Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems (preferred).
- Hands-on experience using tools like vernier calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, etc.
- Basic level trouble shooting.
- Team player with good communication and learning attitude.
Qualifications
- ITI / or Fitter Trade.
- 1–2 years of experience in machine assembly, maintenance, or related mechanical workshop operations.
- Experience in the manufacturing of special purpose machines or automation systems will be an added advantage.
