Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Fitter and MIG Welder role based in Ahmedabad. The role involves fitting and assembling mechanical components, preparing and setting up machinery and fixtures, and performing MIG welding on structures, parts, and assemblies according to technical drawings and specifications. The Mechanical Fitter and MIG Welder will inspect and test finished parts, identify defects, and carry out adjustments to ensure quality and accuracy. Day-to-day responsibilities include routine and preventive maintenance of machines and tools, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and working closely with the production and engineering teams to meet project timelines and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in fitting, mechanical assembly, and working with machinery components.
- Candidates should possess solid experience in machining operations, including CNC/VMC parts handling and related workshop practices.
- Candidates should possess skills in maintenance and preventive maintenance to keep equipment and machinery running safely and efficiently.
- Candidates should possess practical MIG welding skills, including reading welding symbols and working from engineering drawings.
- Relevant technical diploma or certification in mechanical engineering, fabrication, or welding is preferred.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing or fabrication environments and familiarity with safety standards and quality checks are beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, use measuring instruments, and work both independently and in a team environment.
