Role Description The Mechanical Engineer will work on-site in Dehradun in a full-time capacity, supporting client projects within automotive and manufacturing environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and reviewing mechanical components and systems, preparing and updating CAD models and technical drawings, and contributing to machine design and process improvement initiatives. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement lean practices, enhance production quality, and resolve engineering issues on the shop floor. The Mechanical Engineer will also participate in research and development activities, support training initiatives with technical input, and assist in project planning, documentation, and reporting.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with the ability to apply core engineering principles to manufacturing and automotive applications.
- Proficiency in Machine Design and related mechanical systems analysis to support product and process improvement.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for modeling, drafting, and design validation.
- Exposure to Project Management, including planning, coordination, tracking deliverables, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience or interest in Research and Development (R&D) for developing and testing new products, processes, or tooling solutions.
- Knowledge of quality management practices, lean methodologies, and basic regulatory compliance relevant to manufacturing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and safety standards.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present technical information clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline; relevant industry experience in automotive or manufacturing is an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site with clients, engage in hands-on shop floor activities, and participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
