Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineer role based in North Goa. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems and components related to the company’s fleet and logistics operations, including trucks, trailers, and material-handling equipment. Daily tasks include preparing and reviewing CAD models and drawings, supporting maintenance and reliability engineering efforts, and contributing to asset optimization and cost reduction initiatives. The role involves collaborating with operations, procurement, and maintenance teams, coordinating small-to-medium engineering projects, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Mechanical Engineer will also participate in research and development activities to enhance equipment performance, durability, and efficiency in line with SSRC’s innovation and sustainability goals.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with knowledge of core mechanical systems and materials.
- Proficiency in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating and reviewing mechanical components.
- Experience with Project Management, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating cross-functional engineering activities.
- Ability to conduct Research and Development (R&D) to improve equipment performance, reliability, and energy efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Experience in automotive, transportation, logistics equipment, or industrial machinery is an advantage.
- Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance practices and relevant safety and regulatory standards.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site.
