Role Description The Mechanical Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune City. This role involves designing and optimizing mechanical systems and components for continuous pyrolysis technology, including machines, reactors, and auxiliary equipment. The Mechanical Engineer will develop and review CAD models and detailed engineering drawings, perform calculations, and support prototype development and testing. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams on projects, contributing to R&D activities for process and equipment improvements, overseeing mechanical aspects of installation and commissioning, and helping ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The role also includes supporting project planning, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design, with the ability to design and analyze mechanical systems and components.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) for creating models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
- Experience in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and tracking deliverables.
- Background in Research and Development (R&D), preferably in industrial processes, thermal systems, or renewable/clean technology applications.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, material selection, and reliability engineering for industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards for mechanical design, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on practical implementation.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Prior experience in energy, chemicals, or process industries is an advantage, especially in sustainability or circular economy projects.
