Overview:
- Mechanical Engineer providing the routine maintenance for the upkeep of equipment, record data, analyze the data and publish it in form of Monthly Report. He should keep history of the equipment and involve in engineering support of the department.
- Responsible for all technical and engineering aspects of assigned projects. Plan, schedule, predict, and manage all the technical tasks of assigned project to assure accuracy, proper resources, and quality from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Develop Preventive and Predictive maintenance scheduling based on OEM recommendation, Equipment history and other plant incident learnings.
- Prepare monthly report and present to SABIC engineer as MIS Report
- SAP PM Experience / Knowledge is mandatory in order to Scheduling PM, Notification creation and PM order execution.
- Gather information from inspection reports and plan for maintenance of mechanical Rotary and static based on department maintenance integrated planning and integrated operation planning to sustain the integrity of the equipment.
- Attend to any troubleshooting, breakdown or failures related to mechanical Rotary and static and provide support and solution using the safest, reliable and cost efficient approach and compliance with the world industrial standard.
- Response to any technical query regarding any issues related to mechanical Rotary and static based on latest standard engineering practice.
- Ensure the maintenance and improvement related to mechanical Rotary and static is in line with the department objectives.
- Prioritize maintenance and improvement activity to minimize plant / Skid operation interruption.
- Develop scope of works based on site inputs and inspection reports and prepare budgetary estimates for any materials and service requisition.
- Review and study the design of existing assets for further improvement whenever necessary.
- Develop master plan for any no shutdown or shutdown related activities and coordinate with EHSS, SCM and other disciplines prior execution.
- Monitor, coordinate and execute Facility and R&D projects, improvement projects.
- Ensure all P & ID, piping plan, isometric drawings, assembly drawings and equipment layout are up to date and properly documented and have easy access for references.
- Ensure proper procedures in place and in line with the standard engineering and statutory requirements prior any fabrication, testing, lifting, transportation, installation and hook up commissioning activities.
- Monitor all activities and responsible to make sure that any maintenance and fabrication is strictly compliance with the company standard working procedures (SOP/SMP), in line with ASME, API, TEMA, AWS and etc. and company EHSS policy.
- Handling the gas piping mechanical maintenance activities in B1 analytical block, B2, B3 & B12 chemical blocks such as, Day-to-day maintenance activities such as repairing or replacement of damaged/ worn out items, cylinder changes, etc.

- Minor and major modifications in the R&D skid systems and Facility.
- Timely closure of tickets in digitization tool.
Qualifications
- Degree /Diploma in Mechanical engineering having 8/10 years of experience.
- Process Industry like chemical / Petrochemical / Petroleum, Cement, etc.
- Should have capability to draw, read and understand process PFD and P & ID.
- Very Good people management skills and ability to interact with a wide range of end user at Site
- Knowledge of ISO/OHSAS and Process Safety Management.
- Experience with continuous improvement like KAIZEN, TQM, 5"S", etc. is value added.
- Good knowledge in design, fabrication, installation and maintenance of mechanical static equipment, pressure vessel and shell and tube heat exchangers, process skid, process columns, piping, plant erection, valves and etc.
- Well verse in the applicable codes and standard for petrochemical industries such as ASME, ASTM, ANSI, TEMA, API, NPFA, AWS etc.
- AutoCAD working experience / skill is value added.
