ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a critical on-ground role at Amar Food Products. As our Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end maintenance and reliability of our food processing plant — from commissioning new machinery to ensuring zero unplanned downtime on the production floor.
KEY DETAILS
Qualification : Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience : Minimum 5 Years
Location : Porbandar, Gujarat
Employment Type : Full-Time | On-Site
RESPONSIBILITIES
▸ Installation and commissioning of food processing machinery
▸ Daily machine maintenance and troubleshooting across the plant
▸ Planning and executing preventive maintenance schedules
▸ Monitoring refrigeration systems, compressors, and utility equipment
▸ Reducing machine downtime and continuously improving plant efficiency
▸ Coordinating with the production team for smooth plant operations
▸ Handling breakdown maintenance and managing spare parts inventory
▸ Ensuring hygiene and safety standards in all equipment handling
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
✔ Prior experience in frozen food, cold storage, or food processing industry (strongly preferred)
✔ Working knowledge of refrigeration systems, compressors, conveyors, packaging lines, and utility equipment
✔ Experience managing and leading a team of technicians and maintenance staff
✔ Strong troubleshooting mindset where you diagnose fast and act faster
✔ Comfortable working in a plant environment with hygiene and safety compliance
