Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Designer role based in Hyderabad, focused on projects within cement plants and related industrial facilities. The Mechanical Designer will prepare and refine technical drawings and 3D models for mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring alignment with project specifications, safety standards, and industry codes. Responsibilities include collaborating with project engineers and structural teams, supporting machine and equipment layout design, and integrating mechanical components into overall plant designs. The role involves using CAD tools to develop detailed fabrication and installation drawings, reviewing designs for constructability, and assisting in design optimization for reliability, maintainability, and cost efficiency. The Mechanical Designer will also participate in design reviews, coordinate with vendors and other disciplines, and contribute to continuous improvement of design standards and templates.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Technical Drawing and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for creating detailed mechanical layouts and fabrication drawings.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Machine Design and Mechanical Engineering for designing and integrating equipment and systems in cement plant environments.
- Candidates should possess experience in Research and Development (R&D) for evaluating design options, improving existing systems, and adopting new technologies and best practices.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Hands-on experience in mechanical design for cement plants or heavy industrial projects, including familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Proficiency with leading CAD platforms (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and basic knowledge of related analysis tools.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications, and capacity to work effectively in cross-functional project teams.
- Good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a project-driven environment.
