Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer with strong expertise in design and drafting tools to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical designs, 3D models, and drawings while ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Design and model weldments and structural components
- Prepare detailed fabrication and assembly drawings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, project, and quality teams
- Ensure designs meet technical specifications, standards, and safety requirements
- Perform design modifications based on feedback and project needs
- Maintain proper documentation and version control of design files
- Support project execution through design validation and coordination
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Hands-on experience in weldment design and detailing
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and fabrication techniques
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
