About the Role
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern who is enthusiastic about design, manufacturing, and real-world engineering problem-solving. The intern will work closely with the engineering and R&D team on live projects involving mechanical systems, product development, and automation.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in mechanical design and development of components and assemblies
Create and modify 2D drawings and 3D CAD models
Support manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, assembly)
Perform basic calculations (stress, load, tolerance, dimensions)
Assist in prototype development, testing, and validation
Work with cross-functional teams (electronics, robotics, software)
Document designs, processes, and test results
Support improvements in existing mechanical systems
Travel to vendor sites for coordination, material inspection, and quality control (QC)
Required Skills & Qualifications
Pursuing B.E / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Basic understanding of:
Engineering Mechanics
Strength of Materials
Manufacturing Processes
CAD Tools (any one):
SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / CATIA / Creo / AutoCAD
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Good problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred (Good to Have)
Exposure to robotics, automation, or product design
Basic knowledge of GD&T
Experience with 3D printing or prototyping
MATLAB / Python basics (optional)
Strong interest in R&D and innovation
