Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Mechanical Design Engineer to support our engineering team in PCB manufacturing and fabrication projects. This role provides hands-on exposure to mechanical design, product development, and collaboration with PCB layout and electronics teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in designing mechanical components, enclosures, and fixtures for PCB assemblies
Create and modify 2D drawings and 3D CAD models using tools like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo
Support DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) activities
Work with PCB designers to ensure proper mechanical fit, clearance, and mounting
Help in thermal management design (heat dissipation, airflow considerations)
Participate in prototype development, testing, and validation
Prepare engineering documentation, drawings, and BOMs
Coordinate with manufacturing teams for fabrication and assembly support
Learn and follow industry standards and quality practices
Required Qualifications:
Recently completed B.Tech / BE in Mechanical Engineering
Basic understanding of engineering design principles
Familiarity with CAD tools (SolidWorks / AutoCAD / Creo)
Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes
Good communication and willingness to learn
Preferred Skills:
Exposure to PCB concepts (component placement, board structure, clearances)
Understanding of materials like FR4, plastics, sheet metal
Knowledge of thermal concepts in electronics
Academic or project experience in product design or electronics
