Saltech Design Labs Pvt. Ltd., established in 2018, is a Startup India (DPIIT) and Inter-Ministerial Board (IMB) recognized company working at the intersection of sustainability, circular economy, and advanced waste-to-infrastructure technologies.
Through its proprietary advanced recycling technology, Saltech converts single-use plastics, construction & demolition waste, and industrial by-products into high-performance composite building materials such as paving blocks, tiles, bricks, etc. Saltech also provides this technology to industries and government bodies for dry-waste recycling and new composite product development. This innovation is already pioneering Waste-to-Construction industry with the most recent project with Shri Somnath Trust in Gujarat, where plastic waste is being recycled into sustainable paving solutions for temple's precinct redevelopment, demonstrating how advanced recycling can support iconic national projects while conserving the environment.

Type: Full-Time - On-Site, On-Floor, In-Office (Subject to project or work allocation)
Location: Zak GIDC, Vahelal, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Salary Range: 2,50,000 INR – 4,50,000 INR per annum (subject to experience and performance)
Work Hours: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM (General Shift)
Work Schedule: 6 working days per week
Responsibilities
- Ideation, Conceptualization, Design & Development of dry-waste recycling machines & sorting systems.
- Design for manufacturing, drafting and efficient assembly of parts, components and systems.
- Lead prototype fabrication, run functional tests, measure performance and iterate designs.
- Define maintenance points, lubrication plans and critical spares list.
- Produce Bill of Materials, assembly drawings, maintenance manuals for manufacturing and field teams.
- Coordinate with purchase team for timely procurement of components.
- Conducting on-field market visits to verify job work.
- Develop and implement QC to ensure manufacturing team follows engineering drawings and GD&T standards.
- Create and maintain complete engineering documentation including design drawings, installation manuals, and technical specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Expertise in Design Engineering, Machine Design, Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Product Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software as well as Computer-Aided Manufacturing software (SolidWorks, Creo, Mastercam, AutoCAD, CATIA, Key Shot, ANSYS etc.)
- Experience in designing and developing prototypes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience in the waste management or sustainability industries is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Professional Fluency in English (Written/Spoken)
