Mechanical Design Engineer (Contract)
We are urgently hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer for a contract role to support a critical, high-priority project. This short-term engagement is expected to last for 3-6 months, with an immediate start date.
Key Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering
* 6+ years of experience in product development
* Strong knowledge of Design for Manufacture (DFM) for injection molding, sheet metal, stamping, milling/turning
* Proficiency in SolidWorks and EPDM (other CAD tools are a plus)
* Hands-on experience designing electromechanical products
* Understanding of cable assemblies and ECAD/MCAD integration
* Exposure to structural and thermal design considerations
* Experience with DFX for high-volume production
* Familiarity with prototype techniques for design development and verification
* Knowledge of UL/IEC standards; experience with UL1741, UL9540 & UL9540A is an advantage
* Experience in Commercial & Industrial Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is a plus
* Clear communication skills (verbal and written)
* Exposure to CAE tools is an added advantage
