Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Design Engineer role based in Gurugram. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and products, from concept through detailed design and validation. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating 3D models and 2D drawings, performing basic design calculations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and solve engineering challenges. The role involves working with CAD tools, reviewing prototypes, supporting testing and design iterations, and ensuring that designs meet performance, safety, manufacturability, and cost targets. The engineer will also contribute to documentation, design reviews, and continuous improvement of design processes and standards.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with understanding of core mechanical principles and systems.
- Hands-on experience in Design Engineering and Machine Design, including designing components and assemblies for real-world applications.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling and 2D drafting, with attention to detail and design documentation standards.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in Product Design, including usability, manufacturability, and lifecycle considerations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a structured approach to design and validation.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
- Familiarity with basic simulation or analysis tools (e.g., FEA, tolerance analysis) is an advantage.
- Experience in startup or fast-paced environments, and openness to learning and adapting to evolving technologies and processes.
