Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Design Engineer role based in Indore. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and systems for EOT cranes, reels, lifts, and material handling equipment. Daily tasks include creating and modifying CAD models and drawings, performing design calculations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as production, quality, and procurement to ensure manufacturability and performance. The role involves reviewing client requirements, preparing technical specifications, supporting prototype development, and assisting in design validation and testing. The Mechanical Design Engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, documentation, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with practical knowledge of Machine Design.
- Proficiency in Design Engineering and Product Design for industrial or heavy equipment applications.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, standards, and specifications.
- Experience in material selection, tolerance analysis, and basic structural or strength calculations.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to safety and quality in design.
- Experience in crane or material handling equipment design is an advantage.
