Mechanical Design Engineer | Expertise in Automotive Product Design & Development.
A highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and a passion for developing innovative automotive products. With a background in B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, I bring hands-on experience in the design and development of Plastic products and Electro-mechanical components for the automotive industry. Preferably having 2-4 years of work experience in NPD roles
Key Skills & Expertise:
- Proficient in mechanical design tools such as Catia, AutoCAD, and Windchill
- Expertise in working with plastic components, die casting, and sheet metal design
- Skilled in design calculations, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- In-depth knowledge of New Product Development (NPD) cycles and Quality Management Systems
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP documentation and processes
- Familiarity with operating 3D printers, CNC machines etc.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Leading the design and development of plastic models for automotive products
- Developing engineering details, mechanisms and DFMA to bring the product from concept to production
- Supporting all development phases, from requirements gathering to deployment
- Conducting peer reviews to ensure high-quality designs
- Analyzing and enhancing the efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources
- Integrating and validating new product designs for production
- Providing support for mechanical QA performance and post-production troubleshooting
- Collaborating effectively with internal teams to meet project goals
- With strong communication skills and a proactive attitude, who can thrive in team environments, consistently delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions.
