Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with 2+ years of experience in designing and coordinating mechanical systems for major building projects. The candidate should possess strong expertise in HVAC, water supply, plumbing, and fire protection systems while ensuring compliance with international standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and validate mechanical system designs and calculations for HVAC, water supply, plumbing, and fire protection systems as per project requirements and international codes.
- Develop and review technical drawings, schematics, equipment schedules, and related design documentation.
- Select and specify mechanical equipment based on engineering analysis, performance criteria, and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines for effective spatial coordination and integrated system design.
- Prepare BOQs, technical submittals, procurement support documents, and construction documentation.
- Support clash detection processes, resolve RFIs, and participate in internal design reviews and milestone submissions.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, contribute to process improvements, and support junior team members when required.
Technical / Must-Have Skills
- Strong experience in Mechanical Design Engineering covering HVAC, Water Supply/Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD with working knowledge of Revit.
- Strong understanding of international standards and codes such as ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NFPA, and IPC.
- Familiarity with UK, USA, and Gulf design practices and standards.
- Proficient in engineering tools/software such as HAP, Elite Fire, TRACE, and MS Excel-based design templates.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and technical communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams and adapt to new technologies/tools.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

- Experience in international building services projects.
- Good coordination and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and within project timelines.
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
