Role OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer with hands-on expertise in Autodesk Fusion 360 to join our engineering team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end mechanical design and development of components and assemblies, primarily focused on drone and robotics systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electronics, manufacturing, and R&D, to deliver robust, high-performance, and manufacturable designs.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using Autodesk Fusion 360
- Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and production-ready engineering drawings
- Perform design validation, structural analysis, and optimization for performance and durability
- Collaborate with electronics and embedded teams to ensure seamless system integration
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-efficiency, and scalability
- Work closely with production teams to support prototyping, testing, and final manufacturing
- Troubleshoot design challenges and implement effective engineering solutions
- Maintain proper documentation for designs, revisions, and project workflows
Required Qualifications & Skills- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in mechanical/product design
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Fusion 360 (3D modeling, assemblies, drawings)
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and machine design
- Experience in design analysis, problem-solving, and system-level thinking
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, 3D printing, and sheet metal fabrication
- Familiarity with material selection and design for manufacturing (DFM) principles
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent collaboration and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in drone, UAV, or robotics system design
- Exposure to lightweight structures, composite materials, or aerodynamic components
- Understanding of rapid prototyping and iterative design processes
