Since 1996, HIS Pumps & Systems Pvt. Ltd. has delivered custom material-handling and process solutions across our Liquid, Vacuum, and Solid Handling divisions. Our Solid Handling Division designs and manufactures pneumatic conveying systems, powder transfer systems (PTS), and dust-collection systems for leading chemical, pharmaceutical, and process industries.
The Role
We're looking for a Design Engineer with 2+ years of experience to take ownership of equipment design — from concept to fabrication-ready drawings. You'll translate process requirements into manufacturable designs and work closely with our project and manufacturing teams on live customer projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and detail solid-handling equipment: pneumatic conveying lines, powder transfer systems, dust collectors / bag filters, hoppers, rotary valves, and structural skids.
- Prepare GA, fabrication, and assembly drawings (2D & 3D) in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Develop Bills of Material (BOM) and select appropriate materials of construction (MOC).
- Size and select bought-out items (valves, blowers, filters, motors) in coordination with the project team.
- Ensure designs meet project specifications, fabrication standards, and quality norms.
- Support project execution with design inputs during manufacturing, FAT, and site commissioning.
- Maintain drawing records with proper revision/version control.
Requirements
- B.E. in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in design of process equipment, material-handling systems, or sheet-metal fabrication.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (3D modelling & detailing).
- Sound grasp of engineering drawings, GD&T, sheet-metal/fabrication, and material specifications.
- Exposure to pneumatic conveying, dust collection, or powder-handling equipment is a strong plus.
- Good communication, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
