Job Summary
Mechanical Design Engineer with 2 years of experience designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software. Skilled in creating 3D models, manufacturing drawings, BOM preparation, and supporting prototype development. Able to work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and cost-effective product designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design 3D parts and assemblies using CAD software (AutoCAD / SolidWorks).
- Prepare 2D manufacturing drawings with GD&T.
- Develop sheet metal and plastic component designs.
- Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Support prototype development, testing, and design improvements.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, electrical, and firmware teams.
- Apply DFM/DFA principles for efficient product development.
- Resolve design issues and implement engineering changes.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of sheet metal, plastics, and machining.
- Understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2 years of experience in mechanical product design.
