Overview:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design and development of mechanical components and systems. The ideal candidate will assist in creating 3D models, preparing engineering drawings, performing basic calculations, coordinating with production teams, and contributing to continuous product improvement. This position is ideal for individuals looking to strengthen their mechanical engineering expertise and grow their career in a dynamic, fast-paced technical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for Reverse Vending Machines.
- Create 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, sheet metal, and weldment designs (SolidWorks/AutoCAD).
- Support prototype building and resolve technical issues during production.
- Collaborate with electrical, software, and production teams for seamless system integration.
- Perform simulations (FEA) and ensure designs meet manufacturability and quality standards.
- Prepare technical documentation, BOMs, and QA test plans.
- Design and develop sheet metal and weldment components for manufacturability.
Requirements:
- B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Industrial Engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience in mechanical design (automation/machinery preferred).
- Strong knowledge of CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and GD&T standards.
- Hands-on experience in sheet metal, weldments, and manufacturing processes (CNC, bending, welding).
- Familiarity with DFM/DFA principles, BOM preparation, and prototype development.
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills; FEA knowledge is a plus.
