SENIOR HVAC DESIGN ENGINEER (7+ Years)
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior HVAC Design Engineer with a minimum of 7+ years of experience in HVAC system design. The ideal candidate will have a strong Design Consultant background with multinational corporations (MNCs) and extensive experience in GCC projects. The candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, international codes, and industry standards. This role requires a proactive professional capable of handling projects from concept design to tender and execution support.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare HVAC designs including cooling load calculations, ventilation design, duct sizing, chilled water piping layouts, and equipment selection.
Develop detailed HVAC layouts, schematics, technical reports, calculations, and specifications.
Utilize design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, ACC, and BIM tools for project development and coordination.
Ensure compliance with local and international building codes, ASHRAE standards, health & safety regulations, and sustainability requirements.
Coordinate closely with architects, structural engineers, electrical, plumbing, and MEP teams for integrated project delivery.
Develop energy-efficient and sustainable HVAC solutions in line with environmental standards.
Conduct design reviews, audits, and risk assessments to ensure system reliability, safety, and efficiency.
Support project planning, budgeting, tender documentation, and technical submissions.
Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and quality standards.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design team members.
Stay updated with advancements in HVAC technologies, smart systems, and energy-efficient solutions.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 10+ years of experience in HVAC Design, preferably in GCC projects.
Strong experience working with Design Consultancy firms/MNCs.
Good knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and relevant international standards.
Software Skills: AutoCAD, ACC, Navisworks; Revit preferred.
