Role Description The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components, assemblies, and products using CAD tools and established engineering principles. Daily tasks include creating detailed 3D models and drawings, performing design calculations, reviewing specifications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine concepts into manufacturable solutions. The engineer will support prototype development, participate in design reviews, and coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to resolve design and production issues. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Puducherry, requiring regular interaction with team members and hands-on involvement in project execution.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world problems.
- Experience in Machine Design and Product Design, including development of mechanical systems, mechanisms, and assemblies.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and standards for creating 3D models, detailed drawings, and technical documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials selection, and tolerance/fit analysis.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and quality.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate in an on-site, project-driven environment.
