Job Description
Position: Mechanical BIM Modeller
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical BIM Modeller with strong experience in HVAC and plumbing system design, BIM modeling, and engineering calculations. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills and be proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on international projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop accurate HVAC and plumbing BIM models using Revit.
- Perform pipe and duct modeling, including sizing and routing.
- Create and manage Revit sheets, views, templates, and schedules.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to resolve clashes and ensure design accuracy.
- Perform engineering calculations, including:
- HVAC load calculations (Trace/HAP)
- Pump head calculations
- Expansion tank sizing
- Static pressure calculations
- Ventilation calculations
- Refrigerant calculations
- Review and validate BIM models to ensure QA/QC standards are met.
- Participate in submittal reviews and incorporate project-specific requirements.
- Support project teams throughout design development and coordination phases.
- Utilize Navisworks for clash detection and coordination.
- Knowledge of Comcheck/EnergyPro will be an added advantage.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–6 years of experience in Mechanical BIM/HVAC modeling.
- Excellent communication skills (Mandatory).
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Strong understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Experience in multidisciplinary BIM coordination.
- Familiarity with international project standards is preferred.

- Experience working on US, UK, or Middle East projects is an advantage.
