Role Overview
We are looking for a MEAN Stack Lead with strong experience in both NoSQL (MongoDB) and Relational Databases (MySQL) to lead the development of scalable, high-performance applications. You will drive architecture decisions, lead a team, and build robust backend systems supporting complex data needs.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end development using MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js, and MySQL
Design and implement scalable architectures leveraging both NoSQL and SQL databases
Define data modeling strategies (schema design for MongoDB & relational design for MySQL)
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
Optimize database queries, indexing, and performance across both DB types
Lead code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor team members
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, DevOps)
Ensure quality through testing, CI/CD, and deployment pipelines
Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system reliability
Technical Skills Required
Strong expertise in:
Node.js, Express.js
Angular (latest versions preferred)
MySQL (complex queries, joins, indexing, normalization)
Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript
Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture
Strong understanding of data modeling (SQL vs NoSQL trade-offs)
Experience with authentication (JWT, OAuth)
Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Familiarity with Docker (Kubernetes is a plus)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Leadership & Ownership
Lead a team of developers with hands-on contribution
Drive architecture decisions and technical roadmap
Ensure scalable and maintainable codebase
Balance delivery timelines with technical excellence
Good to Have
Experience with database migration or hybrid DB architecture
Exposure to GraphQL
Knowledge of caching (Redis)
Experience in high-scale or product-based environments
