Role Description The MDRT role at LIC is a full-time, on-site position based in Vadodara. The role involves advising clients on suitable life insurance and financial products, understanding their needs, and helping them plan for long-term protection and wealth creation. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting prospective and existing policyholders, explaining LIC products, completing applications and documentation, and ensuring excellent service throughout the policy lifecycle. The MDRT professional is expected to achieve and maintain high sales and service standards, follow regulatory and company guidelines, and participate in training and development programs. The role also requires proactive prospecting, networking within the community, and building lasting relationships to grow a strong and sustainable client base.
Qualifications
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships with diverse clients.
- Sales and customer service acumen, including goal orientation, negotiation skills, and a focus on delivering high-quality client experiences.
- Basic financial literacy and understanding of life insurance, savings, and protection products; willingness to learn LIC’s product portfolio in depth.
- Organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple client interactions, follow up consistently, and maintain accurate records.
- Comfort working in an on-site, client-facing role in Vadodara, with readiness for fieldwork, local travel, and community outreach.
- Minimum educational qualification typically at the higher secondary level or above; a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is an advantage.
- Ethical mindset, adherence to regulatory and company standards, and commitment to ongoing professional development; prior experience in insurance or financial services is a plus.
