Teacher's Assistant

Education: High School Diploma

Reports to: Building Principal

 

General Summary:

To assist students under the direction of a certified teacher. Teacher Assistants work primarily in a classroom setting but will also assist in the cafeteria and playground. 

 

Teacher Assistants work with the teacher in general daily classroom

activities, help students with daily activities, and cares for their physical, emotional health and

safety, affirming their abilities, and striving to promote dignity in all relationships.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assisting students in achieving academic success
• Behavior support in the classroom and on the school bus
• Personal care
• Any and all other duties as may be assigned per building administrator. 

 

Terms of Employment: Determined by the board-approved contract.

Salary: The salary for this position will be in accordance with the salary schedule of McLoud Public Schools.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy.

Public school district providing K-12 education.
