About the role

We are recruiting talented and driven Graduates to join our world-class Engineering team at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, Surrey. As an Engineering Graduate, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering the next generation of McLaren's high-performance vehicles—pushing the boundaries of automotive innovation, performance, and quality. This is a two-year rotational programme (4 x 6-month placements) designed to give you broad experience across McLaren's Engineering function. You'll work on real projects, alongside industry-leading engineers, developing your technical expertise, creativity, and leadership skills—preparing you for a future permanent role within McLaren Engineering. Please note this is an on-site position. Through four diverse rotations, you will gain hands-on experience across McLaren's Engineering teams, which include Vehicle Development, Design Engineering, Project Management, Propulsion, Chassis & Vehicle Technology, Body Engineering, and Electrical Systems & Controls. You will contribute directly to the design, development, and validation of our supercars. Potential areas of focus include: Supporting the design, analysis, and integration of components and systems into new and existing vehicle programmes. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate engineering concepts into production-ready solutions. Assisting in prototype builds, testing, and data analysis to validate designs against performance, durability, and quality targets. Using CAD and simulation tools to develop, model, and optimise components for weight, strength, and manufacturability. Contributing to engineering change processes to implement design improvements. Working with suppliers and internal manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet cost, quality, and timing requirements. Supporting problem-solving activities for engineering issues during build and testing phases. Participating in vehicle performance testing, capturing and analysing data to feed into engineering refinements. Alongside your rotations, you'll take part in professional development activities, innovation challenges, and knowledge-sharing sessions to sharpen your technical capability and leadership potential.
