Position Description

McKesson is seeking a Strategic Program Manager - Supply Chain.

The Strategic Program Manager is the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. This individual is responsible for meeting the contractual requirements for their respective customer(s) while leading strategic initiatives to enhance the customer experience.

This position will require the employee to be in-office twice a week. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages external customers’ strategic programs and acts as a direct point of contact. Leads and participates in calls with external customers in order develop a relationship with the customer and keep an open line of communication. 
  • Execute vendor-defined product allocation programs across various customers for supply constrained inventory. This includes communicating out to customer-facing teams, transferring inventory across DCs/customer groups, submitting auto shipments, etc.
  • Provide detailed reporting and analysis around forecast trending, omit analysis, fair share allocations, etc.
  • Evaluate and determine process improvements and automation to attain operational excellence.
  • Develop business presentations to explain the status of customers’ programs and current initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Minimum Requirements

  • A 4-year degree in Supply Chain, related quantitative or health care related field is preferred.
  • Degree in related field is preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Critical Skills

  • Degree or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant experience in areas such as supply chain, product management, purchasing, marketing/sales, and/or finance.
  • Experience in supply chain, product management, purchasing, marketing/sales, and/or finance.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to extract large amounts of transactional data from McKesson systems (SQL, Business Objects, SAP, SCORE, Hana etc.).
  • Organize and analyze data into meaningful and easily disseminated reporting via PC based tools (Power BI, Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Prepare reports and recommendations which can be used to make timely and accurate decisions about service level and inventory issues.

Working Environment

This role is a hybrid position. The selected candidate is expected to work on-site at our Las Colinas Office, a minimum of two (2) days per week, with the remaining days worked remotely. Specific in-office days may be designated based on team needs and business priorities. Our preferred candidate must live within a 50-mile radius of our Irving Office.

  • Ability to travel 5% of the time to attend and assist with large meetings and/or events.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US unrestricted – This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $99,200 - $165,400
