About the role
This role will lead the strategic vision, development, and operation of McDonald's AI infrastructure, overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of a scalable platform that enables the development, deployment, and management of machine learning models across various business applications.

Primary Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Defining the overall AI platform strategy, roadmap, and key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with business objectives.
Identifying opportunities to leverage AI across the organization and championing its adoption.
Staying abreast of emerging AI technologies and trends to inform platform evolution.
Technical Oversight:
Architecting and designing a robust AI platform, including data pipelines, model training infrastructure, and deployment mechanisms.
Overseeing the selection and implementation of appropriate AI tools, libraries, and cloud services.
Ensuring the platform's scalability, performance, security, and compliance with industry standards.
Team Management:
Building and leading a high-performing team of AI engineers, machine learning engineers, and AI/MLOps specialists.
Fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within the AI platform team.
Providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
Product Development:
Collaborating with product managers and business stakeholders to identify and prioritize AI-driven product features.
Defining product requirements, user experience, and APIs for the AI platform.
Ensuring seamless integration of the AI platform with existing systems and applications.
AI/MLOps Implementation:
Establishing robust AI/MLOps practices for model development, monitoring, and deployment lifecycle management.
Implementing continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for AI models.
Monitoring model performance and identifying areas for improvement.
