POSITION SUMMARY

McCarthy Building Companies is looking for skilled Interior Carpenters for an exciting project in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will install/set up wall protection, doors, drywall, framing, wall accessories, ICRA, hardware, etc. The ideal candidate has 4+ year of proven experience as an interior carpenter in large construction sites and possess excellent carpentry skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Complete Task Hazard Analysis (THA) logs daily
  • Plan and execute work with minimum supervision
  • Recognize hazards and danger zones
  • Actively participate in demo activities
  • Properly read and interpret blueprints
  • Install wall protection
  • Properly set up ICRA partitions (installation, inspection, and maintenance)
  • Install wall accessories
  • Wall framing and drywall installation
  • Door and door hardware installation
  • Safely and properly set door frames
  • Assist with acoustic ceiling installation
  • Assist with removable partition installation
  • Assist other trades when necessary


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience with self-perform interior work (installing doors, accessories, hardware, wall protection, drywall, framing, etc.) in large commercial projects
  • Identify and properly use materials, hand, and power tools (hammer, shovel, water pump, measuring tape, hammer drill, saw, demolition hammer, etc.)
  • Understand construction terminology and basic math
  • Understand level, plumb, square, area, and volume concepts
  • Basic lay out experience (transfer levels, off sets, set points etc.)
  • Proven commitment to Safety
  • Work in an organized manner
  • Able to work night shifts when needed
  • Must have reliable transportation to/from the job site
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • Must be self-motivated and can work well with others
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of material weighing 50 pounds
  • Ability to squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces
  • Minimum age 18+
  • Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization
