Software Development Engineer (SDE)

As a Software Development Engineer (SDE) at McAfee, you will be part of a team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems that protect our customers from cyber threats. You will work on challenging problems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of innovative security solutions. Responsibilities: - Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and secure software components - Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment - Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code - Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand and address customer needs - Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software engineering Requirements: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field - 3+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python) - Proficiency in software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms - Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), build automation tools, and continuous integration/deployment practices - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively - Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment - Familiarity with agile software development methodologies is a plus - Knowledge of security concepts and experience in building secure systems is a plus
