Job Role: MBSE Systems Engineer (SysML / MagicDraw)
Work Experience: 6 to 12 Years
Work Location: Chennai
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain system models using Systems Modeling Language (SysML) with tools such as MagicDraw or Cameo Systems Modeler.
- Define system architecture, behaviors, and interfaces for automotive mechanical and mechatronic subsystems.
- Convert high-level vehicle requirements and stakeholder inputs into structured system requirements.
- Build functional, logical, and physical architecture models to support product development.
- Maintain traceability between system requirements, architecture models, design elements, and validation activities.
- Conduct trade-off studies to improve system performance, cost efficiency, weight, and manufacturability.
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to ensure system alignment.
- Define and document subsystem interfaces including electrical, mechanical, and communication interfaces.
- Support system integration and assist in resolving cross-domain technical issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in automotive systems engineering.
- Strong experience with MBSE methodologies and SysML modeling.
- Hands-on experience using MagicDraw or Cameo modeling tools.
- Knowledge of requirements management and system traceability practices.
- Experience working in cross-functional engineering environments.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
