Position: Resident β Department of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery
Location: Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon (On-site)
Eligibility: MBBS (Fresh graduates or those with 1β2 years of clinical experience)
π About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Resident (MBBS) to join the Department of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery under Dr. Himanshu Verma, a leading vascular surgeon in India.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to shape a long-term career in vascular surgery, vascular medicine, endovascular care, or critical limb salvage.
Prior experience in surgery, critical care, anesthesia, cardiology, or emergency medicine is preferred β but not mandatory. A strong learning mindset is the most important requirement.
π©Ί Key Responsibilities
- IPD and OPD-based care of vascular surgery patients.
- Daily ward rounds + virtual rounds for postoperative patients.
- Assisting in OPD: first-hand evaluation of follow-up patients.
- Learning and assisting in wound care, compression therapy, and dressing protocols.
- Support in diagnostic workflows: Doppler evaluation exposure, pre-op planning.
- Monthly audit participation.
- Data collection, case documentation, and presenting cases in academic forums.
- Opportunity to observe and gradually assist in angiograms, angioplasties, AV fistula procedures, and varicose vein treatments depending on growth and performance.
