Role Description The MBBS Doctor will provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient clinical care, including history taking, physical examination, diagnosis, and management of common medical conditions. Responsibilities include prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting investigations, maintaining accurate medical records, and coordinating with nursing and allied health staff for integrated patient care. The doctor will participate in emergency care, clinical rounds, and follow-up consultations, while adhering to clinical protocols and ethical standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Beltangadi, requiring consistent presence during assigned shifts and participation in rotational duties as needed.
Qualifications
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution and valid registration with the appropriate medical council.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to manage common medical and minor emergency conditions.
- Knowledge of standard treatment guidelines, infection control practices, and prescription safety.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams in a clear and empathetic manner.
- Ability to maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation and use electronic or paper-based health records efficiently.
- Commitment to ethical medical practice, patient confidentiality, and continuous professional development.
- Willingness to work full time on-site in Beltangadi and participate in weekend, holiday, or on-call rotations as required.
- Prior experience in hospital or clinic settings, familiarity with local languages, and additional certifications in emergency medicine or family medicine are an advantage.
