Engineering Manager (Credit Infra)

As the technical leader of the Maya Credit Infrastructure Engineering team, you will spear head the creation of its technology roadmap, people planning, and oversee end-to-end development of its products. You will also be responsible for the growth, happiness, and productivity of the people under this team. You will have a high degree of autonomy and ownership, along with the opportunity to help shape the future of Maya engineering team, culture, and processes. What you will do:You will be leading the development of the technology roadmap for Maya’s Credit InfrastructureYou will be working alongside other technology leaders to accomplish goals related to building and monitoring of the credit infrastructure in MayaBe responsible for growing and developing an incredible team of hardworking and motivated engineers with high expectations around individual ownership and impact.Develop a healthy and collaborative culture.Ensure your team delivers extraordinary output, and continuously seeks ways to make an outsized impact.Set direction for the team and anticipate strategic and scaling-related challenges via thoughtful long-term planning.Help craft technical and product strategy alongside your technical leads and product counterparts.Coach engineers to grow their impact along technical and non-technical dimensions.Own hiring processes and decisions for your team, with the help of our excellent recruiters.Work with the managers and technical leaders of other teams on cross functional projects. Contributes to code when needed and actively takes part in code revie ws. What you need to succeed:5+ years of experience building backend systems OR 7+ years of building backend systems.3-5 years of experience leading high-performing teams. Experience building infrastructure on AWS including EKS, S3, and IAM (or other public cloud). Experience with modern backend frameworks and languages such as Java, Spring Boot, Typescript/Node, Python.Familiar with metrics, QoS, SLAs, and monitoring with tools like Dynatrace or similar.Experience building highly scalable and reliable systems.Built products with high security requirements.Proven track record delivering high quality software on time.Demonstrated passion for people leadership, management and mentoring.
